RECORDER-REPRODUCER, SOUND
(TRANSCRIBING MACHINE, TAPE, MICRO-CASSETTE)

Salient characteristics :
Power: 120 V a.c., 60 Hz.
Tape: Micro-cassette.
Indexing: Automatic; sounds cue tones recorded on cassette.
Playback: Through earphone and speaker.
High speed rewind.
Adjustable speed control.
Adjustable volume control.
Fast forward scanning capability.
Operating: Foot pedal play/stop control.
Safety: Comply with UL Standard No. 114.
The issue of UL standard in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with this requirement.
Workmanship. Transcribing machine shall be clean and free from faulty construction or other defects which affects appearance, serviceability, or durability.
Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Regulatory requirements. The manufacturer shall utilize recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable.
Packaging, packing, and marking. The items shall be packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed to assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. The shipping container shall be marked as specified in the contract or order.
